Ynys Lawd holiday apartment

Ynys Lawd apartments are located in Holyhead's Trinity Marina on Anglesey. The apartment makes a great stop over if you are travelling to/from Ireland on the ferry. It is also a great holiday location with bars & bistros around. Anglesey is famous for its golden beaches and 125 miles of costal walkway (on the path).

 

Trinity Marina consists of the births, offices, shower/laundry block (boat users), bistro, café/store, chandler, workshops, boat yard, slipway and four residential apartment blocks. Each apartment block is named after a local light house. Our apartment is located in the 'South Stack' building. Named after South Stack lighthouse which is a good walk from the apartment on Holy Island. The Welsh name for South Stack is Ynys Lawd.

 

On St. David's day 2016 Hurricane force storm Emma hit Holyhead destroying the marina & sinking 80 boats. A slow recovery has started to take place with a landing pontoon rebuilt and able to handle a small number of boats. The marina will be rebuilt to full glory in due course.
